Miss Dragonfly
Hovering high above the grass
Your colours are so bright,
Graceful as a princess
Miss Dragonfly you're a sight
Dancing over the pond
Waters deep and blue,
Reflected in the surface
Another beautiful you
You rest upon a tree
So still and bold
Gleaming in the sunlight
That turns your wings to gold
Buzzing loudly, Miss Dragonfly
Humming your little tune,
Until darkness falls
With a bright shining moon.

I used hand-dyed Organza ribbon for the wings and DMC Embroidery Cotton for the embroidery.
The wings were traced onto the Organza using an HB Pencil. To minimise fraying, I then ironed some Iron on Vilene to the back of the organza before cutting out the shapes.
